Milesa Cepe

Milesa (she/her) is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives. She has a broad range of experience which include public, correctional and private settings. More specifically, her clinical expertise lie in working with people who struggle with disordered eating behaviours, trauma-related difficulties, obsessive and/or compulsive patterns of behaviour, interpersonal conflict and maladaptive perfectionism. Milesa loves working with adolescence, adults and their support people.

Her approach to assessment and treatment is holistic; founded by a collaborative and solid understanding of her client’s life. She will tailor her therapy approach based on your needs. Generally speaking, her therapeutic style is compassionate, warm and collaborative. She brings sound clinical skills, psychological insight as well as sense of creativity and fun to therapy.

Milesa was born in the Davao City, Philippines and moved to New Zealand as a child. She can offer therapy spoken in English and Bisaya. She sees the world with a bi-cultural lens and values creating a safe and inclusive environment for all people. She views herself as an ally and a rainbow friendly service.

In her spare time, she loves socializing, singing and spending time with her rescue dog Odin. She enjoys physical activity and is a self-confessed indoor and outdoor plant addict. Milesa recently returned to New Zealand in 2020 after being overseas, working in psychology, for 3 years.

Psych-Consult Services is located at the Mental Health Co-Lab Clinic, a safe and therapeutic space where a group of clinicians practice.
